See something wrong? Tell us — with a source if you have one.

How it works

We review each request against official sources and update the page with a new review date.

Identify the Monroe guide and exact issue

Please include the page address and the heading or sentence you believe needs attention. Explain whether the problem is a factual error, an outdated detail, an unclear boundary, or a link that no longer works. These distinctions help frame the review. If several pages repeat the same issue, list the relevant pages rather than assuming the problem appears only once. A clear, focused report is more useful than a broad request to rewrite an entire subject.

Provide evidence that answers the question

An official agency page, an organization’s own announcement, or a relevant public record is especially helpful. Include the link and explain which statement it supports. If you are reporting your own observation, say what you observed and when rather than presenting it as an official determination. A photograph or recollection may raise a useful question, but it does not necessarily establish legal access, jurisdiction, building status, or a current public schedule.

What a correction review considers

We compare the challenged wording with official sources and consider whether the surrounding context is misleading. A postal address, for example, does not by itself establish Monroe city limits. Lake Park and Wingate must be treated as separate municipalities. A historic record can support an architectural description without proving that visitors may enter a building today. The goal is to correct the underlying distinction, not simply replace one unsupported statement with another.

Changing information versus an original error

Some information changes after publication; other information may have been incorrect when written. Tell us which situation you think applies and provide the current source if available. We review each request and update a corrected page with a revised review date. That process does not establish a fixed response deadline or guarantee acceptance of a suggested replacement. If an issue affects an immediate visit, purchase, or application, confirm it directly with the responsible organization while the editorial question is being reviewed.

Keep a correction report focused and private

The correction form includes contact information and a field identifying the page or item. Use the message to summarize the issue and source. Do not include passwords, financial account details, or unrelated personal information about another person. A disagreement about taste is different from a factual correction; you can still explain the concern, but identify it as an opinion. For an accessibility barrier, describe the task and page so the practical problem is clear.
