Submit an Event

We list events after confirming them with the organizer.

Include

  • Title and organizer
  • Start and end date and time
  • Venue and address
  • Official source and ticket link
  • Admission details

Help readers understand the actual event

Supply a title and identify the organizer responsible for the information. Explain what the public can attend in factual terms without predicting turnout or describing an experience as certain. The event source should establish more than a general interest in holding an activity. A business website or venue listing that never names the event is not enough to settle its schedule. We confirm events with the organizer before listing them.

Make dates and admission unambiguous

Include the start and end date and time, along with the organizer’s official source and ticket link when applicable. Explain admission details using the organizer’s own current information. If registration or a ticket is needed, make that clear rather than implying that a public listing guarantees entry. For a recurring activity, distinguish the particular occurrence you are submitting from a general schedule. Do not guess at a missing end time, admission amount, or registration requirement.

Locate the venue accurately

Give the venue name and street address so the location can be checked against the official event information. A Monroe mailing address alone does not prove that a venue is within Monroe city limits. Lake Park and Wingate are separate municipalities and should be identified that way. Do not describe an event in another town as taking place in a Monroe neighborhood. Readers need an accurate location before planning transportation or asking the venue about access.

Describe practical limitations without assumptions

If the organizer provides details about accessibility, weather plans, age restrictions, or cancellations, include the official link and summarize only what it says. Do not infer step-free access from a photograph or assume an outdoor event will proceed in all conditions. A listing is not a reservation, an accessibility assessment, or a guarantee that arrangements will remain unchanged. Readers should confirm current details with the organizer before traveling, particularly when a specific accommodation or admission condition matters.

Use the message field for the event particulars

The submission form is shared with business submissions, so put the event title in the business or event name field and provide the full event information in the message. Include a contact name and email for the inquiry, not a list of attendees or private ticket-holder information. If you are updating an earlier submission, identify the event and the changed detail. A submission is a request for review, not a promise of publication or a paid editorial endorsement.
